Hey all,
Bought a Squier Jaguar Short Scale last month. I love the thing but it is a Squier so there are a few things that I would like to upgrade. My question is, would Fender parts fit on this bass if I were to replace the tuners and the bridge? Does the fact that the bass is a short...
Just thought I'd update. I am seriously in love with my Jag. It is by far the highest quality $180 instrument I have ever played. I agree that the J pickup is weak, but the tone that I am dialing in by having the p bass all the way up and adding flavor with the J is wonderful. I have to...
I'll be sure to post pictures once its done. I feel you on the teenager's bedroom look. I just couldn't get myself to buy the red. Way too flashy for my liking. I think once the tortoise shell guard is on it it will look real classy. My band tends to go with a formal wear look, so I figured...
Thank you so much! That was driving me crazy trying to find someone who carried it. Amazing how a pickguard can cost 1/3 of the price of the bass. Oh well, it will look pretty bad ass when its on.
Thanks for all the help! I think I'm going to go with the Jag. I'm torn between the candy apple and the black. Either way I'm planning on putting a tortoise shell pickguard on it. Will I need a special size pickguard since its a short scale, or is it just the neck thats scaled down?
Just a...

Ok, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma here and I could use some honest advice. I am in the market for a cheap (under $200) short scale bass. I need to buy it ASAP, going into the studio and would love to have it available. I have narrowed it down to 3 basses.

I have always been a fan of the functionality of bass ramps, and was curious enough to want to put one on my jazz bass. I work for PRS and our...
