The Praise and Worship Band Bassists Club

Yes, on high days and holidays when the church is more packed… and sometimes on a busy Sunday morning. We’re mostly at the evening services (our boy has drama lessons in the mornings ☹️) which are smaller, more intimate services.

Busy, busy week so nice to look back to playing at church on Sunday evening at church on Sunday. Lovely Pentecost service with one of our mission partners talking about his and his wife’s work in South America and South Sudan. Nice mellow bunch of tunes too for communion and the worship. Love...

And the Bass Centre has some Pro 1s in at about the same price! In fact, for less !!

I have to spend between $30 and $40 at Sweetwater

Do they carry the TC UniTune clip on tuner? Wouldn’t be without one - I’ve bought a couple and they are the best headstock tuner I’ve come across.

What's the Best Bass Deal You've Ever Found?

Back on 1992 and 2000, I got my two Wals… each cost me around £550 GBP… can’t say fairer than that…

    NBD - Sandberg VM4 Superlight

Glad you like it. And I’d agree with everything you said. I love my VM4 - bought new in London in January last year. Your description of the pickups is spot on - AND no volume jump between passive and actives makes the circtso much more useable than many active/passive systems I’ve seen. In...

If you were done with Fender right now, what would you buy at ~$1,500–$1,800?

I’d be looking at a Sandberg - not sure what US prices are like, so probably a used California TT, TM or VM model.

Nice one! Congrats! God got praised is the important thing, not the flubs. Nice looking bass and cool church set up!

    Club Sandberg (part 2)

Just popped a set of DR Black Beauties on my California TT4 SL last night… Not tried out these strings before so can’t wait to try these out properly at the weekend. If they sound half as good as they look on the pau ferro fingerboard and blackburst body I’ll be a very happy bunny!!! I had...

    Sandberg

I got my Superlight TT in February and I have to say that I love it! Great feel and sound and soooooooo light at 6.2lbs/2.8 kilos (my Aria SB, Frankenjazz and two Wals are all in the 10.5lbs range 😣🏋️‍♂️). I stuck some DR Black Beauties on last night. Not tried these strings before but if they...

Yes, because paulownia is such a soft wood that it dents easily.

Sire V6 started distorting in Active mode

That sounds much more like a wiring issue. I can’t see a reason why battery level would cause active mode to work but not passive mode.

Sire V6 started distorting in Active mode

Did you leave it plugged in? Even in passive mode the circuit is drawing current into the preamp. That’s active bass 101… the jack plug is the switch that turns the battery/active circuit on no matter what the bass settings are. Always unplug after playing.
