depending upon venue / room mainly Ampeg SVT4 Pro and one or more of following cabs ... Ampeg SVT 8x10 one new one with red backs Ampeg V6-B 2x15 cab ... Ampeg PR 1832 HE "VW" cab ....... or i also likle to use Trace Elliot monolithic rigs ... have a custm built one in flight case 1000 watts w/ 2x 10 and 1x15 ... then there are red stripr Trace Elliot add ons avaiable 1x15 and 2x10 cabs somtimes when needed a Genz Benz 400 watt 2x10 wedge monitor ... recently fell from plug and chug into pedal guy and ave Morley Bass Wah ... DOD octive pedal ... DOD envelope filter pedal ... and the really weirdo thing i use is a guitar overdrive Jeckyl & Hyde ... love that thing and to think how many years i was missing out on these jewels helping me out ,,,, fav bass for last few years is a customise Epi Les Paul bass loaded with double coil Bartolinis ... i also ejoy Musicman Stingray Stealth model that my loving son gifted to me last X-mas ... or one of several Gibson Thunderbirds or one of several old BC Rich Mockingbirds or ....... whatever right mainly old school big thunder stuff

Influences and Teachers

i was started out on piano taught by the late Mrs Mullet early but...my sister went off to college when i was entering 4th grade and left me a trio of vinyl Alice Coopers greatest , Kiss Alive I , ZZ Top Tres Hombres ... this blew me away and had to have a bass, i loved the bass lines in headphones listening for hours at a time, so happened my grandfather had a friend who owned music store so we went ton Coli Stokes and got my first bass which was a Fender Jazz , huge heavy thing i soon traded for Gibson EB-0 and began lessons under John Gloria at Howard VANCE guitar academy....

Hobbies and Interests

recently got into nitro rc trucks , cars and boats ... always been into aquarium keeping which for a while in late 80s led to shop ownership ... used to be into hot rods as well real ones not rc models however got to where i did not enjoy wrenching on them and they would just turn into garage monsters so had to get outta that one ... lately however it has crept back up on me in form of old hot od truck though so speed is not so important therefore not as much wrenching to drive
