Guess it's been faulty since new, had it for years. I know there was some type of action on this at the factory, not sure if I could ( or would ) get it fixed. This happens when cranked of course, not at lower volumes.

I've compromised with a bass control that is really not usable in another bass with OBP3 for about 20 yrs, want to explore some other options. Why have it if it doesn't work?

I know this is all relative but how would you characterize the Darkglass vs OBP3? I have a couple of DG pedals, played one of their amps and dug it, are killing in the bass world the past few years.

Where does one actually get a 3 band HAZ preamp for a Spector? How is the bass control? I find the OBP3 bass difficult to use at +/- 18dB at 40 Hz.... The mid control is nice with push/ pull for center freq, works well. Wonder if there is a way to reduce the gain? Emailed Aguilar CS, no...

No worries, have gone in a different direction. Still want a Suhr bass, just not in the market currently. Have 2 Suhr guitars, they are stellar in tone and playability. Bought some Suhr Humhpries to put in my Lull MV4 when I didn't hear back from you, all good for now.

You really need to try the V4B to see if it's what you're looking for. Could likely get a much better deal on a used one, tube bass amps are not retaining value. Sold my V4B reissue for $750, had it for about 3 years. I know there is a lot of love for this amp from some folks, it really didn't...

This is not uncommon. Just tried the same on my NS-5H2, same thing happened. Possibly has to do with the volume from each pickup ( height ) plus maybe some frequency cancellation. P's are very hot in general. If you like the sound of each wouldn't be too concerned. You could try changing the...
