Replaced both "push pull" 25k with 500k ("Alpha"). Didn't replace tone pot... Sound is much different. Now, it's brighter, more treble and middle, with bass too. Now, I play with a pick, and hitting hard, so, tone for me is much better... Amp is Marshall JCM 800. Have some problems with old EMU...

Thank you for replay, very kind of you. I'll try to put 500 or 250, and will share results! This MEC humbuckers have great bottom, but no middle and treble at all, but think they must be better... Will see...

I'm first time on any forum. If I make mistake, sorry... I've got Rockbass $$ passive (think Chinesse), and heard a lot about changing potentiometers (25 k to 250 or 500k). Is there someone who did it, and if someone knows, does it have some sound samples (before / now) on youtube? Thanks!
