Those Dual-Joy basses still appear for sale in Vancouver nearly a year later, with a similar story about factory closed/liquidating of stock. Has anyone else had further experience with them?

Perhaps not so in Canada, where I'm looking at DBs. I've seen very inexpensive Chinese violins sold by a reputable luthier in Calgary that were stamped inside with the company name, but I'd guess it is not the law here. As one of the previous posters remarked, it's likely not a "mark of quality"...
