    Nice bass! I have an Elite 5 with noise issues, which seems to be a pretty common thing considering how many threads there are on the subject. Did yours have noise issues prior to swapping out the pre and pickups? If so, did the swaps fix the issue?

    I'm curious about converting my preamp from 9v to 18v in series. I have a '96 Fender American Deluxe Jazz which came stock with John Suhr designed pickups and tone circuit. Does anyone know if I'd fry my preamp if I attempted this mod? Thanks!
