    ESP LTD SURVEYOR-415 5-String Electric Bass Guitar

    The bass has 18 mm string spacing on Wilkinson (Fender like) bridge. I own this bass (ESP LTD Surveyor-415 Quilted Maple) and I manually measured it. I have also ESP LTD AP-5 bass which has 19 mm String spacing on Babitz bridge.

    This is not correct. You must measure from the center of first string to the center of the last string. Fender says it is 17.5mm

    Did you measured it? Was it really 86.4cm? I do not believe. It is 88.9cm. I talked directly to ESP representatives. They admitted they have incorrect information in their catalogue. The scale is 35".

    It is 35" scale. Just measure it from bridge to the Nut = 88.9 cm

    There are many descriptions of this bass series as 34". But all these are wrong. It is misinformation. That's why I write that I do not know who put this wrong info to the ether. Because shops use to copy the description of the article one from another. These bases had always been the 35" scale...

    The ESP LTD Elite J-5 has a 35" scale and is the same bass as the ESP E-II J-5 and the ESP Edwards J-5 basses. I don't know who caused the spread of this incorrect information that it is 34", I have this bass and I measured the Scale.
