Rumble 40. Sometimes we don’t use a mixer

My amp has an XLR output. How can I get that signal into an earbud. I don’t want to send to the sound mixer and go that route. Mono is fine. Thoughts?

Howdy, I’ll be plugging in my MXR Bass Comp for the first time. 1) does compression effect the EQ? 2) any EQ adjustments you would suggest? 3) any compression settings you would suggest for thickening on traditional country tracks, picked, with PJ Seymour Quarter Pounders?

Someone also suggested the Keeley Bassist compressor/limiter. Any opinions?

Well I’ve certainly thought about that. The attraction to the Rumble 40 was the reviews for small venues/restaurants and the lightweight of 18lbs. I needed something very portable, cause I’m old :-/. Any suggestions for a replacement?
