I love my Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 head. I paired it to the Epifani UL 2 Series 2x10 cabinet for larger gigs and to the Gallien-Krueger MB 112 for smaller gigs or practice. Both heads are super lightweight which I really like, and the sound is sweet. The little 1x12 cabinet is very impressive...

My bass has active pickups. I feed in into my amp head at 100% out. I then DI out of the tube pre-amp to the PA at as much output as I can without clipping the signal, and also out to a small cabinet for an on-stage monitor. This way I get that smooth tube sound out to the crowd and the drummer...

I second ForScore. I've been using it for several months now, along with Air Turn pedals, and I absolutely love it.
