Hey guys, so wrapped I found this thread. I picked up this beauty for $400AU, spent another $180 for service and strings. It had been sitting in a cupboard untouched for 15 years. Sounds so good.

Just because you bring a cab, doesn't mean you have to be cut from the PA. If you can get the sound you want through a cab you are already helping to push sound out front. Go out front with your wireless and see how they have your channel eq'd. If the guy is a volunteer, I'm sure he won't mind...

In saying that, I also do an acoustic duo (acoustic and bass) 1 night a week where I don't even bother with DI and just plug straight into the PA. It does the job!

I use a Markbass LM800 with a standard 104HF cab. Plug straight in to the amp (via a tuner) and run a line from direct out to PA. If something was to go wrong with my amp or cab I have as backup a sansamp DI driver which I will pug straight into and have myself coming through foldback. I...

Sounds like you have plenty enough equipment to be able to get something down. You haven't listed the mics you have so hard to suggest which ones to use on each instrument. I assume the audio interface has 6 inputs? If so maybe try using 3 mics on kit (kick, snare and overhead) taking up 3...

I purchased the parts off ebay and assembled so it is the last bass I bought! Mighty mite swamp ash body, american fender neck, 63 reissue pickups and wiring, reverse wind tuners, badass 2 bridge and cheap chinese mirror pick guard. Love this bass.

Thanks, No I bought it already finished from Ebay in the U.S and sent to Australia. Couldn't have been happier when it arrived. Was so much better than what the photo's looked on ebay! I took a gamble on all the parts and a gamble that has fortunately paid off for me.

Are you referring to my guitar above? It is a genuine USA fender neck but I have seen a lot on ebay that people have stuck the water decals on.
