I own an Alcoa upright bass in exellent condition, other than the mouldering condition of the Faux wood finish was stripped and professionaly painted matte black 25 years ago. My problem is that the finger board was gone when I found it. I am looking for someone to make a new one, I , being a machinist, considered trying it my self, but feel this would be a waist of time. I have been playing the piano for 25 years and have no intention of learning another instrument. I think it time for it, as handsome a piece in my living room, might be needing a new home. Fingerboard or not. Thanx for reading this ,any guidance would be appreceiated. William
