I'm pretty green when it comes to bass guitars, but in my limited experience I've been happy with my Carvin AC40 and with my Boulder Creek EBR6-N4. The Carvin is just chambered so you have to plug in, but the Boulder Creek is loud enough to practice with by itself. (I put Thomastik-Infeld...
