You should consider Pyramid tapewounds. I put a set on my Hofner and now it has a beautiful low end. Maybe they suit nice on the 3030.

Well, as with every article by Andy, I think this one is well worth click, it won't injure any of your fingers to do it. Anyway, SPC originally stood for Special (of course) Pickup Configuration, though that's not always the case.

Thank you! I think I will go with La Bella. I am going to France in a few months, so maybe I should buy some Pyramid on Thomann. I also thought on try tapes on my 4003, but maybe that match results in an unbearable hum.

Hi guys, are you still giving membership numbers? I am really enjoying Pyramid tapes on my Hofner and D'Addario tapes on my Rickenbacker 4004. I am thinking on try new strings on my Pbass, maybe Fender or La Bella tapes. Any advice?

Sorry about that. That really wasn't my experience.

I think the Horseshoe RI sounds great, I know it's not exactly like it should be in terms of structure, but it sounds different than the HiGain to my ears, clearer. I really like it! Of course it also satisfied all the aesthetic aspects.

I have a toaster from The Creamery and it sounds great! I don't have the real deal, so I can't say if this one achieves the sound of a Rickenbacker toaster. If you buy one, ask for longer leads, mine has shorter ones and was hard to install. Jaime is a great guy, he answered every I email I sent.

Thanks Woodyng. I got to the same result searching on the web time ago, maybe they should work. I tried in every store on Denmark Street, but nothing. I got there looking for knobs just to leave with a Höfner in my hands. :laugh: I bet mine is the only 4004 in my country, so I didn't even try...

Wow Jeff! That's a premium chopping table. It's a really beautiful 4004. I did try the vintage and the silver top knobs, but I think they didn't work at all. I wrote to RIC, in case they have any chrome knobs, but they didn't even answer.
