Anyone here tried the Warwick wax/Howard Feed-n-wax beeswax and other similar products to their Sire basses? specifically the M2 with the open-pore finish.

What strings do you guys use for your 5s? Can we use short scale strings for 35" scale length if we're going to top load them?

No point in keeping the other knobs and the switch if it's a fully passive bass. Just thinking of that option but of course I won't do that as soon as i get the bass.

Thanks for all the information! One more thing I'm considering is that the v3 seems easy to fully convert into a full passive bass, assuming the Fender branded control plate is a direct drop in. While with the M2 you're pretty much stuck with those knobs and switches if you decide to go fully...

About to get either the V3 5 string or M2 5string in a week or two. I'm still undecided which one they both look good but I'm thinking that it's easier to find aftermarket parts for V3 than M2. Is that correct?
