I don't think he was planning on selling either tele anytime soon. He just enjoyed playing it that way and would probably change it back to sell it. At least I would hope he would. It would be crazy not too.

I think that if you love the way your bass plays and sounds than you've got something worth hanging on too. If you like the way it looks, than that's a bonus. For the price of these basses or a vintage RI, I would rather put my money towards an original vintage. I have a friend with a 66' MIA...

Pulled the head apart today to see if there were any schematics or dates in it, couldn't find anything but the inspectors initials. took some low quality pics with my iphone, how do you post pics up here, I'm new to talkbass. By the way, I just bought a 73' fender jazz bass about 5 minutes ago...

so does fender make a MIA bass that has the same specs as the 60's basses including the nitro paint but without the faux worn finish? I love the idea of the Road Worn basses but would rather spend the next 30 years wearing it in my self.

so how do you guys feel about the Road Word RI's? I can't decide what I think about them. I think they're cool but in the same sense, I feel kinda weird about having my bass purposefully scratched to make it appear vintage. what do you guys think?

How do I find out what year my amp is. pretty sure its late 60's early 70's. and how do I find out how much out put it has. when I bought it I was told it was 100w but I'm thinking its less. also, I noticed today that when I plug in the amp out jack into the house to get more volume, it cuts...
