Before I met the guys im in the band with I used to hang with the best players in my town. I did learn alot from just listening and joining on some jams it was an awesome experience which is why I even became good enough to make my own band.

Where do you draw the line between attempting to be the best band you can be and being able to enjoy yourself when you play with your band together? I just feel like my band could kick it up a notch as far as quality but i also feel like my whole band feels the band is like a job or something...

yes to be honest Im quite new to music theory Im still learning. but I do know how to spell out almost any chord.

I do play drums I know how to keep a basic rhythm with whatever the band is playing in fact whenever our drummer is not able to practice I usually substitute for him. I'm not that good tho. but I know the basics of rhythm but only in a slow pieces but most our songs are moderately fast i.e...

I want to buy a compressor. I was wobdering if the joyo dyna comp would be any good? Im asking because its a really good price and i want my playing to stand out a bit more against the two guitarists in my band. Would you recommend it? Or maybe the bass squeeze ?

I Don't have a V3 but I do have a ART Dual tube Pre...I bought it for cheap at my local Guitar center.... I must say that I am very pleased As I have used it to record my bass. I guess its Similar to the ART studio or the V3. Its nice and clean tone for bass but I have yet to use it for vocals...
