I had one just like that over ten years ago. It was in mint condition, and I paid €300 for it. It was stolen from me just four months after I bought it.
It was much nicer looking than this one. Those body joints are... not the nicest. Also the condition was much nicer. It had very nice tone, but I've always found the pickups a bit weak, both on that T-40 and the one I bought a few years later (at an ever lower price: €250, and from a shop!). Such a heavy ash bass really needed something beefy to pull up those mids (or alternatively, some onboard electronics). It was nice sounding (but weak) in single coil mode, and dark in humbucking mode.

I mostly posted it because I know there are a couple of other T-40 collectors on here that might have been interested. I already have a matching T-40/T-60 set with the pinstripes and all-zeros serial numbers, so I wasn't as disappointed that I missed out on that one as I might have been otherwise.
