    Cutting down on strings.

    I'm one of those dreadful, to be dreaded and whinced at guitar players who figures he can play an instrument with less strings. Or maybe I just love the bass so much that I had to get one (or convince my wife I needed one :D). Or perhaps I need more instruments on my recordings... Nah...
