    Help identifying Fender Bass

    Hi all, I've become the caretaker for my late bro-in-law's Fender bass. I think he had it for quite a long time. Any help with the type and vintage would be appreciated. Is it a Precision bass? Might the serial number be under the neck joint cover? Peter
