Okay, I've been posting a lot of questions lately but I'm a beginner. :laugh: Do colored strings affect the sound of a bass guitar? They look cool and tacky at the same time, but I'd probably only get the black ones. (like my soul :cool:)

I've seen a lot of people do this, and I was wondering if anybody on here actually does it. I've heard it helps with something on the guitar, but I feel like that's just a myth. Isn't it more of just a style-related thing?

I heard that stickering your bass is bad, and that you shouldn't do it, but I think it looks so cool! Is it really that bad to sticker your bass?
