A Question of Character/Ethics/Morals (What Would You Do?)

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Watch from Walmart in March. They accidentally sent me 5 watches. I contacted Walmart and arranged for them to be picked up. They refunded me for the watch I bought and gave me a free wireless charger. Sure I could've made a lot more money if I sold the other...

Will this unit fit in an Ibanez Soundgear Input jack? I know some wireless systems don't fit because the jack is recessed. I'm just looking for something to use at home.

How many basses do you own? (Currently) Part 2

    1. Stagg BC300 It was given to me when I first showed interest in bass. I don't play it anymore and am just waiting for someone to give it to. I strung it as a Tenor bass about a year ago and still have no interest in playing it. 2. Fender P Bass My first real bass. Got it used on eBay. It's now...

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

I got a great deal. It was practically brand new. The guy played it maybe 5 times and it never left his house. It was worth it I absolutely love it and I've taken to fretless way better than I expected. From April till a couple of weeks ago it's all I played and practiced with at home. I still...

Haha. I meant string buzzing. All the Fenders I tried in the store had some but I guess this one was set up pretty well from the factory. The string spacing on this thing is perfect for me. When I got my Carvin XB76 it took me months to get used to how close the strings were but I've had no...

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

Im loving it. The neck is super fast and it's incredibly light might even be lighter than my sr600. I love the piezo pickup. I just got my tax return Monday so I was able to go above my initial price range and it was definitely worth it. I think it will be a lot easier to learn fretless on this...

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

Well I finally got my first fretless bass today. An Ibanez SFR705 it came with a brand new Ibanez MB100C hard case. I paid $575. The owner had it for less than a year and hardly played it. It's in perfect condition and there isn't a scratch on it. It has really low action and no fret buzz or...

I did some research on the SR375F/EF but all I can go by is youtube videos and reviews. I didn't like the sound of it in any of the youtube videos and I love the sound of the GWB35 in the videos I found. The GWB35 goes pretty cheap used sometimes. I think I'll try and hold out for one. Ibanez...

The ones on ebay currently are all new and the cheaper ones are the fretted version that I returned. I'm looking to get a used one. There were 2 that sold in February for around $450 and a couple that sold on Reverb for under $500 as well. I've also seen a few that sold in the talkbass...

I've already decided which bass I want though Ibanez GWB35. I'm just going to wait to find a good deal. I just missed out on a few that sold last month for under $500 so I'm sure some more will pop up soon. Thanks for all the input.

Im going to the city in July and if I haven't found anything by then I will check. But the price mark ups in NYC are crazy. If you can find some unknown shops you might find deals but not at the major stores. Since I'm not from there I don't know which little shops to go to.

I didn't bring any headphones with me. I know I don't want a Fender. I think I would only buy an Ibanez or Carvin without being able to try it first. I have fretted versions of both and I love them. I love my Fenders as well but I want a thinner neck profile for my fretless.

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

I really want an Ibanez gwb35. I've read on talkbass that they typically go for under $500 used but I've had really bad luck so far. Looking at sold ebay and reverb listing they usually go for about $450 but I haven't been able to find one.

Albany NY. There are no musicgoround's around here. I already checked every music store within 2 hours of me and only one of them had any fretless basses. All but one of them played horribly and the the other was just okay and overpriced.

This morning I contacted the guitar center in Oregon to see why my bass hadn't shipped yet and the manager said that he's been looking since Tuesday and can't find it. After 15 minutes on the phone he canceled the order. I wonder if after lowering the price online they had someone offer them the...

I had been looking at a used GWB35 on guitarcenter.com since after I returned mine but at $500 I wasn't willing to buy it without seeing it first. Yeah $800 is the price I was seeing as well. After playing the Fenders and Squiers at the store I realized that I didn't really want another Fender. As much as I love the tone of my J-Bass I just don't play it as much as my Carvin or Ibanez. The neck's on those two basses are just effortless to...

So I was able to get to both stores tonight. The first store had three used Fender MIM fretless J-Basses and a brand new Squier J. Thanks.I just did a quick google search last night and didn't come up with any of the washburn fretless options. I 'll do a better search when I get off work. I live in NY and I feel like instruments are overpriced here. I often find the same basses here for $100 to $200 more than in other...

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

Yeah that's the only part that seemed complicated to me. I don't have a drill or any experience with them and if I messed up the headstock the neck would be useless. I've set up my fretted basses before so I don't think it should be too much different with a fretless.

Inexpensive way to try out a fretless

What tools would I need to change the neck? I found a video on youtube and it seems kind of complicated. I can set up a bass but I don't really use tools or work with wood. I don't have a drill or anything like that. That's why I was thinking I would have to pay someone.

Also I think I will still change the neck on my P-Bass as it's prone to bowing even though I have it set up as a piccolo bass. It's good to know that it shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks for all of your replies. I'm leaning towards the Squier but I just found out my local guitar center has an Ibanez 370F for $250 in excellent condition.
