    + 1, angling your Wrist will make your playing mistakes even more bigger, I would reccomend you not to grow your fingernails, it can give you feel troubles.

    I think that you should start doing some arpegios using the thumb and the 3. If you play a 6 string bass, try to find some arrangements in a chord melody oriented way, take it to the thumb and the 3.
