    Double Bass Positioning mike on the bass

    As several of you have pointed out before the old Shure 57 doesn't cover the full range needed. I have seen positive references to the AKG d112. Has anyone positioned this or other mikes (Shure 52A?) on the bass itself? How was this done? Happy with it?
