Rival Sons – Very cool new Blues Rock band

Hey Richland, I've been a huge fan of theirs for a few months now. Every member brings a different flavor to the table. Oddly enough, it tastes like a mixture of Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles and Humble Pie. IMO, they're one of the best bands to surface over the last decade. If you...

Dealing with a Terrible Band Name

Tell me about it. I'm surprised I was able to keep a straight face when they told me the variations! There are so many levels of disappointment that fall over me when I analyze the name for a few minutes. I think you're completely right up until you made the name suggestion. Wouldn't I be...

    Unpleasant frequencies when playing

Hey Guys, I have a Warwick rockbass and a G&L L2000 bass that sound great live. In addition to their great tone, I hear high pitched chimes whenever I play a note. I also get the same unpleasant tones when I knock on the body or the neck. Is this a common issue and is EQing the only way past...

    **Post your Soundcloud/Reverbnation links here!**

Hello to the keepers of the low end, I'm new to the TalkBass community and I would like to make my first thread a meaningful one. This is to all of the bassists who have a knack for songwriting or have recorded heaps of music that needs to be shared. If any of you have music on soundcloud or...
