Finally figured it out...Just got in today and got it setup and took some pic's...Had a real bad sounding E string...Sounded dead and like there was some harmonics going on it...Frankly it just sounded terrible! I posted the problem and one guy said I most likely had the dreaded magnetic string...

Received the new Sterling Ray 34 NT today and after checking everything out it seems to be in perfect condition. Very satisphied with this bass guitar. It played great right out of the box. No complaints at all. I will just say that all of the problems I had with the first one have been resolved...

I just picked up a 2000 model for $300.00 that had been put away for 11 years...It has a great neck on it and only required minor truss rod and saddle height adjustments...I also put DiMarzio DP-123 "J" stacked humbuckers which are totally quite and have a great all round sound...They work good...
