Schecter omen extreme 4 bass knobs

What the hell do they do. There are all kinds of demos of people playing one, but none explain what each of the 4 knobs do. From playing around with them I think I’ve figured them out, but not 100% sure. I think the top knob Closest to the strings is a master volume. Looking down at the knobs As...

Hipshot Drop D Bass extender? Any good? Reliable?

I'm in a band that plays a lot of drop D tuning songs along with 1/2 down and standard tunings as well. I was looking at a Fender Duff McKagen P/J bass that has a hipshot Drop D bas extender as part of the standard equipment. I know you can just buy the tuner as well and install it on your...

Would you be offended if a band asked you to play a P bass?

I would at least hear what the guys bass and rig sounded like before I insisted he play this P bass. See how his bass and rig sounds, if it doesn't sound good to you, try his bass through your head and cab. If it still doesn't sound right then try your P Bass and rig. After playing the P Bass...

'62 Precision vs '72 Precision: can you hear the difference?

I don't know which is which, but the B sounds a little better. It seems to have a fuller more resonant sound. So which is which?

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

Generally speaking it's been my experience that most drummers are a little fast and I'm ok with that as long as its within reason, this too slow thing is difficult.

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

His skills His skills are good. We play some more complicated songs and he recreates the drum notes very accurately, just usually too slow. Part of the issue, in fact probably the main issue is that his living situation is such (because of noise and or space) that he can't practice on his own...

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

Oh I agree, we would never use a metronome on stage for a live performance. I'm just talking practice.

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

y Yes, its much easier playing faster, Slower is just a killer. It's weird because its just certain songs. Example: STP Vasoline he plays 15-20bpm too fast and its already a fast song. Eve 6-Inside out 20 bpm too slow and it's just tortuous trying to hold back the whole song. And it just ruins...

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

Oh believe me, I've Oh believe me, I've tried pulling him along faster by playing at the right speed myself, but you can only do that to a point. If a song starts off with just the Bass only and I can set the pace from the get go, but as the song goes along, I can feel him trying to slow it down.

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

Thank you for your advise. I actually have many recordings of us playing and that’s how I confirmed just how slow he was playing on some songs. I thought maybe I was crazy or being just too nit picky. So one day after practice, I played back our recordings and tapped the tempo of what we were...

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

Thank you for your feedback. I will try that. He does keep a solid pace, if he starts slow it stays slow and the same for fast.

What’s the best way to deal with a drummer who plays too slow?

We’re a cover band and our drummer plays some songs way too slow, like 15-20 bpm slow. And a few too fast by the same margin. The guitar player or myself will say something like that was too slow or you need to pick it up a little. We’ll play it again and it’s still at least 10 bpm slow. Then...
