    Should I de-tune strings and/or loosen the truss road before checking the bass in for air travel?

    Hi, As per subject. I need to get some peace on this one. Some people tell me to de-tune and loosen truss rod, some say don't bother, AI says de-tune half a step or a step but don't touch the truss rod. Go figure... I'm capable of setting the bass up again after the travel, just not sure...
