button crack

Hi there kindly experts I need some help/advice with a small but slowly growing crack on the button/edging/(not really honest to call it purfling) of my (cheap, £330 with crack, Gear4Music) upright bass (see photos). It's maybe 35mm in length total and slightly reducible with light pressure...
