isolate bass

Is there a cheap (or ideally, free) way to isolate bass parts in recordings? All I want for the moment is just to be able to hear bass parts more easily so that I can learn them. The quality of the isolated track doesn't need to be great, so long as the bass can be heard more clearly. Therefore...
