pickups glue fishman

I have a seldom used Fishman BP-100 that I want to re-install. My bridge has some curvature. I am sanding it a flat as possible, but it is hard to get it perfect. Some of have recommended elsewhere attaching the elements with hot glue as well as the clips. Would doing that compensate for or...
