    8 String vs 12 String... Do I NEED Both?

    This is going to be a ridiculous question, but I love the sounds of both 8 string and 12 string bases, but I haven't been able to justify why I NEED to own both yet. Like, they sound great, but how often which each get used on their own? Of course at 1am, I'm laying here thinking about it...
