stripped screw holes

Moderators, please move with my thanks/apologies if this seems more appropriate for Pickups and Electronics or some other forum. As my subject indicates, I have an instrument where the height adjustment screws (which, miraculously, are not themselves stripped) don’t stay down in their holes...
