Thinning the heard...
This is a 1972 Fender Jazz bass in excellent condition. As far as I can tell it is 100% original. Pickups are stamped "72" and the pots date to March of '72. I had the pickups rewound by Tom Brantley to original factory specs, and they sound great!
There 2 or 2 small finish chips and a couple of typical dings around the edge of the headstock. See the pics for more detail.
The bass plays very well - action is 2/32" on the G string and 3/32" on the E string at the 12th fret. Relief at the 9th fret is about 010." The frets have lots of life left, and there is no noticeable buzzing. Weight is 8.7 lbs, which is on the light side for a Jazz Bass from this era. Original covers and case are included.

Price is$6,500 $5,900 $5600 via PayPal, including shipping to CONUS. International sales are welcome, but you will be responsible for all shipping, VAT, customs and other fees.
