For sale is this awesome playing and sounding 1980 Rickenbacker 4001 in classic Jetglo (black) finish. In excellent condition overall with the usual small scuffs, dings and chips expected from a 44 year old instrument that has been played. Two spots in the back where the paint was worn through the wood, and touched up in black. Those spots are pictured. Has the highly regarded thin/fast neck, frets in good shape. Very healthy and growly pickups and is also the lightest Ric bass I’ve owned at 8.8 lbs on my bathroom scale. Comes in its original blue lined case in excellent condition.
