From everything I’ve read and heard this was Ibanez’s first production 5 string. Very light and comfortable at 7.9lbs on the bathroom scale. Very narrow string spacing. I haven’t measured but I believe it’s around 16mm, maybe even a bit less. Nice round neck that isn’t too thick or too thin. Plus it has an ebony fretboard!
These pickups are very quiet and even sounding and the 2 band preamp is very flexible. Overall it’s a very even and warm sounding bass with an excellent low B. I love it, but I just don’t need two 5 strings.
Great shape for its age, but it has some small nicks/marks/chips and such in it.
$375/shipped east of the Mississippi.
$400/shipped west.
The original hardware is worth a decent amount by itself!
I’m not really looking for trades, but if you happened to have a Classic Vibe ‘60s P from the original run I wouldn’t turn it down. I might consider some class D bass heads too.
