Up for sale is a 1993 Fender MIJ PB-57 Precision Bass serial number N061XXX. These basses were Fender Japan’s attempt at recreating vintage spec instruments at standard consumer prices. Highlights include vintage sized fret wire, 7.25” radius neck and correct strap buttons including hootenanny button on headstock. The high quality craftsmanship of late 80s - early 90s Fujigen/Fender Japan is on display here. The neck pocket on this one is especially snug.
Since owning this bass, I have added a black Allparts pick guard (original white included in sale), shielded the cavity and added replacement foam under the pickups for better height adjustment. I like a high action on my basses, but can confirm that the truss rod is fully operable. Weight on my bathroom scale is 9.0 lbs. It is currently strung with DR Lo-Riders 45-105. Bass will ship in a Fender branded gig bag (unsure if original, I suspect not).
Discount for cash/local pickup otherwise Paypal F&F only. Buyer pays actual shipping for the carrier of their choice. You are welcome to visit my Reverb shop page for additional feedback: Reverb
