Oh wow.. sorry guys. I had not revisited this thread.

The nut with is 1.5". It really has a worn in Jazz feel to it. Maybe a wee bit thicker than a jazz neck, but not a baseball bat by any means. I dont notice the surface crack at all while playing, in fact, i am not sure if you can really feel it if you run your finger over it. It looks WAY worse in that picture than it is in real life. When I first got it about two years ago my luthier put it facedown on his table and put pressure on it to see if it opened up at all and it did not.

I LOVE the neck. I don't love the nut width. My other main player is a 1.75 Precision which is more comfortable for me being 6'4".

I would consider shipping to Australia, but I have literally no idea what that would cost.

I have a 96 Masterman as well and these are great basses. Fun to play and has some great tones. Really kind of surprising what you can get out of that Twin J pup. If your looking at getting a Fortress this is the one you want! Super comfortable!

The 1.5 nut width is uncomfortable for me, looking for something different.
