1997 Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 JJ Bass Solid Ash

Up for sale is is this amazing early Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 bass. This one is from 1997 and features a light weight solid swamp ash body. With no chambering, this one weighs 8.5 lbs. The finish is translucent white and you can see the beautiful ash grain. Paired with the black hardware this one looks as great as it sounds. Many people believe these 1990s solid bodies represent the golden era for Sadowsky and I have to agree with them. I'd rate the condition as a 9+/10. You won't find a cleaner example or one sits better in the mix. The maple neck, maple fingerboard, and frets are in great condition with no nicks, dings, dead spots, noticable player wear, or buzzes. Take a look at my photos this one is going to make someone very happy. It was upgraded to now feature the VTC (vintage tone controls) but the original pots are the includes. Sounds amazing active or passive. The neck is 1 7/8ths and the spacing is 19mm. A slappers dream but has great bottom and fingertone as well. The action is low and the neck is fast. Comes with original Sadowsky hard soft case from the era.
