The bass is also on Reverb for the same price. I am considering offers.

The original retail cost of this bass was $2449.00 in 2013. The difference between this bass and the Retro 70's is that the Classic has a 6-bolt Neck Plate featuring the Classic Music Man logo, adjustable truss rod wheel at the heel of the neck - no component or string removal, and a Birdseye Maple Neck, and the "Flea" bridge... which are all improvements on the original design. I have this posted elsewhere, too.

According to my Fitbit digital scale it’s 10.0 lbs on first measure. 10.2 second and third measure. That’s the best I can do. It is quite heavy, but it pays off in sound.

The white pick guard is the original. I put a shell pick guard and for these pictures I just set the white one on top.

Superb Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Classic 4. Now discontinued are rare to find these days. This is a solid built bass and Plays really well with a nice low action.

Currently strung with RotoSound SM77 flat wounds (40-100). The picture of the unopened strings is only for reference.

Sounds like the real deal. The original Music Man hardcase is missing one of the latches.

The Classic Stingray pays tribute to the original Music Man designs from the mid to late 1970's with added modern refinements. A string through body bridge, mute kit, small profile nickel frets and a curvy 7.5" radius neck are key specifications that harken back to the early days of Music Man production. A modern six bolt neck attachment and an easy access truss rod adjustment wheel ensure solid construction with no hassle adjustments. The classic tone remains true to the original with an ash body, 2 band EQ and Aguilar AG 4M pickup.
