Details

This is a working man's bass. Although it shows some wear of an 11 year old bass, it plays and sounds absolutely wonderful. Here are some details:

Brand: Elrick
Model: Classic, Gold Series (bolt on neck)
Origin: USA
Body, Ash with (what I believe is) a crotch walnut top
Neck: Wenge
Fretboard: Wenge
Frets: 24
Scale: 35"
Electronics: Bartolini pickups with Bartolini 3 band pre-amp, passive/active switch and mid selector switch
Spacing: 19 mm at Bridge
Weight: 7 pounds, 13 ounces on a postal scale
Case: generic gig bag (although pretty nice gig bag)
Other: zero fret. It is currently strung E to C with brand new TI Jazz Rounds. With the zero fret you can easily change to B to G with just a truss rod adjustment. If you need B to G, I have a set of used or will through in a $50 gift certificate to Kalium Strings
Price: 1750 plus shipping, trade value the same

This is a great bass. It shows some wear on the top of the body as well as on the lower bout (commensurate with being a regular "player"). It is light weight, sounds killer. The neck is straight as an arrow and is currently set with an action of 3/32" at the 24th fret.

When I received the bass, the truss rod was binding a bit on the neck. master luthier Martin Miranda (former owner of Valley Arts Guitars) freed up the truss rod by removing a hair of wood inside the truss rod pocket.

Trade possibilities:
old archtop acoustic guitar (aka jazz box)
34" scale, wide spacing, 5 string basses
EUB
..or hit me up with something cool (no amps or speakers please)

Thanks for looking

I've had some really cool trade offers. I am very appreciative. I have found an OLD Gibson L-1 that is rising to be my first priority. My GAS just might be your gain. Make me a fair cash offer and the Elrick can be yours (unless you have a cool old archtop to trade)

Thanks

Please note, I've edited the description to reflect that the two switches are passive/active switch and mid selector switch not coil taps

All PM's answered. I'd like to thank you all for some truly wonderful offers. I have taken down the "trade" offer as I have found a guitar that I really want. Of course, I would like to sell this one, BEFORE I pull the trigger. Make me a decent offer. There is a certain number that I need to clear
