First the good:
This bass is in "mint" condition. I can't find any ding, scratch, swirl mark blemish, anything! The only thing that keeps if from being "new" is the slight fret wear that is particular to all fanned fret instruments within five minutes playing time.

The number of Dingwall Prima Artist models are somewhere in the dozen worldwide. The price of a new one spec'd out exactly as this one is in the $12,900.00 to $15,000.00 range. For a comparison, Bass Central has a used PA for $9,999.00, but I can not attest to it's condition. My PA is like new or your money back.

The Dilemma:

As much as I love this bass, and I do love it, it is not being played. When I bought it, I was hoping to see some wear, but as it looks almost untouched, I leave it at home and play my road worn Z2 exclusively. I intended to keep if forever and let my grandchildren fight over it after I'm gone, but I've had a change of heart over constant acquisition now.

This bass deserves to be played more than fawned over every week or so. If you are reading this, you know that the Prima Artist is the ultimate expression of the luthiers' art as translated by Mr. Sheldon Dingwall of Saskatoon.

After fervently chasing and trying to cure incredible "GAS" as we call it, I have had a change of heart, and will be slowly reducing my collection over the next few years.

The "Bad"
I am asking $10,000.00 USD to the lower 48. Buyer pays shipping. I do not need the money, so lowball offers will be ignored. I am willing to offer a money back guarantee if the bass is not as described. I have an impeccable reputation here on TB and on the Dingwall forum, and prefer to deal with someone likewise. If you are not happy with the transaction, neither am I.

I am also willing to travel up to 500 miles in any direction from Knoxville, TN to accomodate a buyer. In that case, shipping charges would be waived, I prefer to place this in the buyer's hands. I do travel to the Washington DC area every couple of months, so buyers in that area could be accomodated easily.

Please PM me with any questions, and thank you for reading my ad!

Now on with the pics! These are all from the Dingwall website, I will post any of my pictures of this glorious bass in posts to follow:

If I could dream up an "ideal" or "perfect" bass, this would be the physical manifestation of that dream. This is beyond magical. I cannot express how this bass makes me feel. I have no place in this thread for this is lightyears out of my ability to afford.

I just wanted to express some kind words.
