I bought the kit in 2011 and had it professionally soldered by Billy Penn (Pennalizer amps) last November/December. I added my own tubes (new ElectroHarmonix). Nice vintage sound.
With good tubes the kit is about $775. I paid $425 to have it professionally soldered and tested. I made my own Bassman cabinet out of ash, which I will include free.
