$1700 Shipped CONUS or $1650 for a local deal. I'm in Emmaus PA 18049. Willing to drive an hour or so from my location to meet up for a sale.
Beautiful 2017 Spector Euro 5 LX with upgraded Nordstrand electronics. Pictures don't do this bass justice. The figuring of the maple top is very 3 dimensional which is hard to capture in photos but I tried my best. It also has the nice matte finish which makes the neck smooth and fast to move around on. The action is set nice and low and it has a brand new set of Dunlop Super Bright Nickle strings on it. The bass plays and sounds fantastic. It has a very punchy clear tone just like you would expect from a Spector. Still has that Spector growl with the Nordstrands but in my opinion is much more versatile. For anyone playing metal this thing absolutely crushes through a Darkglass Mictotubes X7. I've owned two US Spectors ( a Forte 4 string and Bolt on 6 string) and honestly this plays and sounds just as good for much less. Bass will come shipped in a Spector gigbag.
There are a few very tiny blemishes on the bass that actually look worse in the pictures than in person.
(There's 1 tiny mark on the upper horn by the strap button, a tiny mark on the top back of the headstock, 2 barely noticable marks in the back middle of the bass I can't capture in a photo, a very small shiny spot next to the neck pickup and a small bit of shine to the matte finish where your right arm rests while playing. Everything is very minor but I want to mention it. Overall the bass is very very clean and in superb condition.)
Electonics upgrades include
-Nordstrand Big Split pickups
-Nordstand 3 band pre amp. (Controls are stacked Volume/ Volume, stacked Bass & Treble, push/pull midrange with 2 different frequency centers and a push/pull active passive knob that is also a tone control that works in passive and active mode.
- Bass will also come with the original Bartoloni pickups and Spector Tonepump preamp. I did not own the bass when the swap was done so I'm not 100% positive all the wiring is there to convert the electronics back.
- If someone wanted to convert this over to all EMG electronics you could probably fund almost all of it by selling the Nordstrand electronics currently in the bass
So why am I selling it? Well I used to love tighter spacing ( 16.7mm) like this bass has but have been playing primarily 4 strings the last year. I realized after taking in this bass that I really enjoy the wider spacing (19mm) and will be moving in that direction with a 5 string
Please feel free to ask any questions or request more photos.
