80 Fernandes PJ made in Japan
This was originally a P, Rob Distanfano from www.frettech.com routed the J, installed the new pickups and replaced the pots. They are all his Cavalier handwound pickups. IMO they sound awesome, please check out the below video with sound samples.
Aftermarket tort 3 ply guard. The bass is nice and light, plays great, and sounds great with vintage feel and mojo. I prefer this to every modern standard American made Fender I've tried.
The 17th fret of the A string frets out, I demonstrate in the video. Regular share of nicks and scratches for a bass almost 40 years old.
