For sale or possible trade- absolutely the nicest 13 year old bass you will ever see. This 2006 Modulus Q 5 looks like it was purchased and then stored in a closet until now. I have tried to capture the quality of the finish but I would say this bass is cleaner than 99% of the new basses hanging on the walls of music stores right now. Zero issues, even still has the plastic wrap on the cover for the control cavity on the back.
This bass has the optional Bartolini Soap Bars and Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. 35" scale, 17.5 mm spacing and is finished in transparent black cherry. The flame maple top is beautiful and the graphite neck and fingerboard are in new condition as well. And yes this is one of their truss rod models.
Comes with a Modulus hard shell case that is also in great condition. For trades, would consider a clean Lull MV5 or Modern 5, or maybe the right Xotic 5 or something along those lines- feel free to send some things to consider. I am a five string 35" scale guy so please keep that in mind. Sales price includes UPS ground shipping to the lower 48.
I just looked at the Modulus web site. They are building 4 to 5 basses a month at this time and a new bass set up like this one will run you $5000. I have sold dozens of high end basses on Ebay- my user ID there is jazz5252. You can check out my feed back there- zero unhappy customers. Feel free to reach out with questions. Thanks for looking!
