SERIES 2 IS SOLD
Series 3 sold on Reverb

Up for sale are 2 ACME Low B-1 cabinets. One is a series 2 and one is a series 3.

The series 2 has the crossover, pole mount receptacle, tuki cover, 8 ohms.

The series 3 has a home-made cover, and can be either 8 or 4 ohms. It came to me as a 4ohm cab. I had an extra 8ohm driver (from ACME) that I swapped it for. But if you want the original 4ohm driver, I'll swap it back. If you want both drivers, I'll include the second one for $30.

Both are in excellent condition. They are mirror images of each other. Andy changed the design of the series 3 so when they are stacked, or side-by-side, the ports are opposite. I like using both, either stacked, or on the floor, with the ports blowing left and right (but I digress).

Dollar-for-dollar a used ACME cabinet is the best value of any cab you can purchase. You can't touch the build quality (USA), fidelity, and depth at twice the price.

They are $250 each. I'll meet in Santa Barbara or Ventura counties as I drive a lot for work and can bring them with me to meet up. Shipping will be actual cost. Shipping looks like it ranges between $31-$87 depending on your zip.

How much power can the series 3 handle with the 4 ohm driver?
Acme's website says 175 watts RMS, recommended wattage is 200-250. My experience with these cabs is the more power the better. I've put more than 250 watts into these and they just sound better and better with the higher wattage. At some point, you'll damage the drivers, but I don't know when that point is. I've never had a problem. I use HP filters and treat my gear very well. If you're reckless, bad things can happen (to any cab).
