Facing some very costly surgery in January and with gig money coming to a halt, it is time to do the unthinkable and sell the one bass I said I would never sell. I've owned some amazing boutique pieces over the years (too many actually), and this by far is the best of the best. Although this is the only AC I've ever owned, it is the 6th or 7th I have played. While they each had their own feel and personality this one was clearly different. While maintaining the 19mm spacing, the taper of the neck feels like a jazz bass. It's not the nut is narrower, it's just this is a true jazz bass feel. As one veteran engineer said to me, "That is what a bass was designed to sound like, perfect." (Yeah it made me smile)And so: For sale ONLY, please NO trade or lowball offers, a wonderful Alleva Coppolo LG 5 Classic in nitrocellulose antique white finish with matching headstock. The picture of the headstock is the most accurate to show the exact color of the bass. California build 2011-2012- Neck is finished with vintage tint, and the fret board is either Indian or Indonesian rosewood. (Jimmy was not sure of exact wood used) Weight very close to 9lbs 9oz. The finish is in great shape however being that is is nitro and 9 yrs old, there is some minor checking. There is a small ding underneath by the input jack. It can't be seen from the front, but adding a pic to show it. I had this listed previously and marked sold however I did not realize the deal was with a re-shipper, so it was cancelled.
The bass ships insured with a Contego bag also in great shape. $4000
