$400 - CONUS / Paypal. NO TRADES. NONE. Shipping negotiable, depending.

Original owner, bought at LA Bass Exchange in 1999. Mounted in a great Gator "Rack bag" (included in the price) - which I have to say is crazy cool - it's in good shape too (though I gigged it extensively). I'll include a industrial / medical grade power cord (from my old employer!)

I have gigged this head since '99 and it has been 100% reliable. I've used it with an 8ohm Epifani 4x10 (pictured) and two 8 ohm Epi 2x10s and it sounds just *great* - always get comments on my tone and have no problem driving any cabinet (Epi's are notoriously inefficient)

So why sell? It is *heavy* -33LBs. I live upstairs. I' am old. Yeah - I'm a class-D / Neo guy now.

Anyway, my decrepitude is you chance to own a great piece of gear. Everything works, nice warm tube preamp, built-in octave, built like a tank and has that great Ashdown coolness.

I owned one of these briefly. A great piece of UK gear. They're dead quiet and I believe was founded by the guys from Trace Elliot when they folded.

Free bump!

Honestly? I do not know. With the rack-bag, around 30bs.

The Ashdown web site shows the current EVOIII at 26 lbs - that sounds about right.

Is it still available? If so I'll buy it. My old one just shorted out bigtime and I'm leaving on the 29th and need a replacement. Just missed the one from sevenorchids. Please pm me.

These older Ashdowns are great. I mostly use my Markbass F1 for convenience, but my (even earlier than yours) Klystron 400 has a fullness and ballsy tone I just can't part with. So bump for your beautiful ABM.

I had one of these on a mini-tour of new england. Paired with a Berg ht-322. It was a full on testosterone experience... Honestly one of the best sounding rigs ever... Blues guys I was working with were like damn...

OKAY - that does it. I'm going to sell my lightweight Puma and keep this. No one wants to buy it, and I keep getting reminded just how great it sounds!

You might be right. I just hooked it up to my Berg CN210 to work on my sight reading (yeah, stooping to getting back into teaching, I'm afraid) and was reminded how much I liked the tone. Apparently, Ashdown is no longer the Flavor of the Month - but it still sounds great.
