Paris built real acoustic instruments as mentioned and took his knowledge and designed this stick bass.
There are two sets of pickups, 2 Alembic pickups that cover the four strings for a modern bass sound and also Wilson K4 in-bridge pickups for each string for the real deal upright bass sound.
Adjustable endpin, two position back mount to mimic the body of an upright so that you may rest it against your knee or body as your preference with an extra piece to add depth.
Adjustable wings to mimic the upright body to be used for body positioning as well as thumb position.
easy to gig with and durable.
I gigged with this in Manhattan for years and actually acquired it from a prominent bassist.
Not playing any more so that's what leading to this sale.
I played every portable stick bass on the market and this was the only one that sounded and played like a real upright.
The Wilson pickups make all the difference here if you'll looking for a real upright sound.
You can slap it, bow it, and play it and it just responds.
